A meme thing.

List six of your favourite songs and tag six people to do this, too. And click on the links to download the songs to boot, if you so wish!
1. Assassins - The Ballad of Guiteau
As the title indicates, it's a song about Charles Guiteau, the man who assassinated James Garfield. This is my favorite track off of Assassins because the lyrics are pretty catchy and some of the lines are absolutely brilliant ("The lord's my employer and now he's my lawyer, so do what you dare!"). I like what accompanies the song, too, as Guiteau cakewalks his way up to the gallows where he's hung at the end of the song.
2. Plastic Tree - Kogosei
It's rare I like a Plastic Tree song this much, but the opening is absolute class. I mean, the song isn't that great after the first minute, but it's a lovely first minute. A-list J-Rock right here, in my opinion.
3. N.W.A. - Express Yourself (Remix)
This is N.W.A.'s best song of all time. It's got a great beat and the lyrics are inspired, old-school hip-hop from a group that frequently took controversy over quality (especially after Ice Cube left). Plus this is the remix off of the Greatest Hits release and I find it to be better than the original.
4. Space Warship Yamato - Opening Theme
Best anime theme EVER. Well, maybe not quite the best, but it's up there. It's so damn weird and catchy.
5. Ben Folds Five - Missing the War
Lord, I wish I could sing like this. The harmonies are awesome.
6. Foo Fighters - Aurora
This is always overlooked when it comes to Foo Fighters, which is unfortunate because this song is very, very beautiful. I mean, shit, the guy from Progressive Boink sums up why this song is so great well; wait for a starry night and just listen to this song whilst staring into space. Puts a smile on my face every time.
I'm not tagging anyone, though, for various reasons. I'm making up for this act of party pooping, though, by having the songs available for download (for a week, anyway) and commenting on them and so on.
