Day 1: a song
Day 2: a picture
Day 3: a book/ebook/fanfic
Day 4: a site
Day 5: a youtube clip
Day 6: a quote
Day 7: whatever tickles your fancy
Possibly my all-time favorite fanfic for definitely my all-time favorite video game. You wouldn't believe a Tetris fanfic could be amazing, but this was the first one for Tetris ever posted on FF.net and it's excellent. It's about waiting for the damn straight line block that never comes, and also maybe about communism, I don't know.
Since I never put it up and I kind of like what I got, here's presentbragging for my birthday as far as non-cash gifts go;
- Chutes Too Narrow by The Shins
- The Best of Django Reinhardt by Django Reinhardt
- Milestones by Miles Davis
- Frank Sinatra Sings for Only the Lonely by Frank Sinatra
- Leisure by Blur
- The remastered version of Abbey Road by The Beatles
And the cash gift from Dad is, I'm pretty sure, going towards paying for the Shonen Knife, Art Brut, and quite possibly Asobi Seksu concerts over the next month. I'm probably passing on The Pogues as I can't really splurge too much on concerts given college and all. I hate that Art Brut is 21+, though, because I was hoping to coerce Tony and/or Galen into going. HEY ROBIN YOU SHOULD COME UP TO SEATTLE ON A MONDAY FOR THIS CONCERT.
